Grandmother’s Bedtime Stories

Each of the stories in Grandmother’s Bedtime Stories has a teaching theme, hopefully leading to children learning love and tenderness not only toward animals but also to others.

 

 


 

Grandmother’s Bedtime Stories Book 2

The following titles give a hint as to the contents of the sequel to Grandmothers Bedtime Stories: “Chick-a-Dees and Me,” “The Chipmunks and the Giraffe,” “Ellie the Dancing Elephant,” “Pinky the Pet Cat,” “Llama Llama Where are You,” “There Goes Rusty,” and “Whitetail the Deer.” Each story takes the little animals on a learning adventure of one another, with a happy ending. Some of the little animals together with their human friends also have a learning adventure. This sequel of seven fictional stories is meant to bring enjoyment for the young reader and enjoyment to the young one being read to.

 

 

Grandmother’s Bedtime Stories Book 3

Millie the Magnificent decides to explore the dark jungle. After meeting other animals she hears a familiar sound, another panther and so a happy life begins.

The young Otters get into mischief at the water’s edge, and later learn that helping the Beaver family is a good thing to do.

Patty the Parrot loves music. She entertains cruise ship passengers with her squawking. A little girl and her parents take the parrot’s home with them only to realize the parrots are happier in the jungle.

Penny the Penguin goes exploring by herself. She is lost and scared of the dark. A mother Polar Bear and cub come to her aid and return little Penny to her worried family.

Terry the Teddy Bear was a woeful sight until all the other little Teddy Bears in the store helped to repair him. He was groomed, stitched and helped up onto the shelf to await the holiday shoppers the next day.

Vicky and Her Violin have lots of help from Grandmother as her music teacher. Vicky enters and wins a pretty red bike as the prize, making her parents very proud.

Zelda the Zebra and a young Lion become friends after a scary meeting. That friendship saves the Zebra family from a pride of Lions.

 

 

Grandmother’s Bedtime Stories Book 4

These original stories are lighthearted, with a gentle touch of compassion and helpfulness. Walter the Whale and his family lend helping flippers to a stranded cruise ship. Hip Hop the Hippo overcomes the disability of one short leg. “Treats for Pepper” takes the little pet dog on his first solo exploration of the town, ending with a treat from the local butcher. Mark the Manatee finds a way to teach safety to the other manatees. Croaky the Frog makes a new friend called Jumpy, and together they share the lily pads. The friendly panther learns the important lesson of being yourself and not trying to imitate others to get attention. Rascal the Raccoon is rescued from churning waters by her brothers and sisters after they put themselves in danger. “Raindrops” is the story of a magical land called Rainbow that began to fade away until some billowy white clouds came together and saved Rainbow.

 

 

Grandmother’s Bedtime Stories Book 5

Grandmothers Bedtime Stories Book 5 of the series has many stories using different little animals such as Mikey the Mouse that began an adventure of climbing a tree. Two kittens became friends while exploring the dark woods with the help of Mr. Owl. Bunny Hoppity helped Mr. Opossum when he became ill from eating too many wild berries. Waddle-Waddle could not help tumbling over and over each time he shook his head. Butter the little yellow butterfly saved the large Monarch butterfly from an attack by a large bird. Oscar the Octopus rescues a young Octopus from a fishing line. Annie surprised her mother by growing the sweetest tasting apples on her little tree. The Ant and the Beetle became friends by helping each other. After tossing seeds to the Rabbit, the Rabbit family shows the Blue-Jay where the sweetest berries grow. Honey Bee and her family enjoy buzzing around the orange blossoms. Droopy the Pelican learns that constant complaining will only chase his friends away. Funny Bunny gave happiness to others with his clown acts. A Ladybug helps an old woman with her garden by eating the bad bugs. Lizzy the Lizard learns a lesson after she falls into the water and is saved by a fish hawk. The wise king of Elfville is able to retrieve the pot of magic dust. Piggely Wiggely and Muddy Ducky remain friends even though they do not enjoy each other’s play areas. The Playful Clouds and the Rumbling Rocks reach deep into ones imagination. Each of these stories are meant to show caring and helpfulness.

 

 

Grandmother’s Bedtime Stories Book 6

Ricky Raccoon learns his lesson after eating too many berries. Moma and Papa Raccoon call Doctor Bear to help their little one.

Silly Seagull has some close calls flying to low by the motorcars.

Little Squirrel becomes friends with Rodger Raccoon, together they hunt, one from a tree branch and the other thru the gardens.

Whiskers the Seal joins his friend Jimmy for a unexpected tour with the traveling circus.

There are many other stories to be enjoyed by the children such as:
Buffy and Scuffy, the Sand Hill Cranes who raise their Egglett in Grandmothers garden.

Chris Cricket returns to the farm and his friend Jimmy for another summer and an encounter with another cricket.

Molly the Mole after being teased by Mr. Fox and Mr. Raccoon must choose either her temper and loneliness or having friends.

Quacky and Fluffy bring their flock to Florida for the winter. They are befriended by Mr. and Mrs. Smith after splashing down in their pool.

Willy Woodpecker and his friends Billy Blue-Jay, Barney Blackbird, and Carey Cardinal have a lot of experiences to share.
